Dormant Acres: Who We Are

We stumbled in to this business years ago after driving by a rural Nevada property with a burnt down house. Charred debris were strewn all over the otherwise beautiful 10 acre lot. It was obvious the property had been sitting like this for ages with someone paying taxes on it year after year. Curiosity got the best of us, so we did some research and located the current owners who had inherited the property from their parents.

They had no use for the property and wanted to sell, but were unable to do so until probate was completed. We were able to make a deal on the property and help the sellers complete the probate process that had been started over 10 years prior! We jumped through many hoops connecting the lawyers, county court, and title company together. The sellers paid no legal fees out of pocket and we closed two weeks earlier than expected. Not bad for our first deal!

It was clear these sellers would have loved to sell the property years ago if there had just been someone to cut the red tape and get the deal done. This is how Dormant Acres was born. While not every deal has problems, we pride ourselves on being the land problem solvers.

Dormant Acres is based in North Las Vegas, however, we are currently buying properties throughout the western states.
